Each knot dealt with in this book has its own definite and prescribed purpose.
When properly tied, or formed, then worked or drawn up into shape, the knot
can make all the difference between boating a big fish, or losing it.
This
is a little more difficult finshing knot to make; the Blood Knot,
but nylons is very resistant in the union of two, as it is seen
in the figure. With some variant it is possible also to be used
in the nylon union with steel for leaders, like for example in equipments
for shark dogfish.
